Painting of floral design on wood panel, black background, gold frame. Similar to a pair that was at the Columbian Exposition which was held in Chicago, IL, in 1893 (pictured in Exhibition book in Loretto's Alcove 64). This event celebrated the 400th Anniversary of the Discovery of America and held exhibits from Catholic schools. Similar but not identical designs (this one has white flowers in center), hand-painted.
