7-decade rosary, silver medal depicting the Crucifixion on one side and a scene of Mary holding the Infant Christ on the reverse, on a metal chain with large wood beads. This rosary was given to Loretto by Frances Sansone Crivello (1883-1953), the mother of Sr. Olive Crivello, SL (1907-1989). Frances was taught by Sisters of Loretto in Springfield, MO. This rosary belonged to Frances' grandmother. As Frances was born in Italy, her grandmother was likely Italian.
