Description
Metal award medal, two pieces connected with rings, engraved "Presented to Loretto / Queen of Belgium / Excellence" on front and "Loretto Academy Kentucky" on back. According to the May 1898 issue of Loretto Magazine, "The Queen of Belgium has donated a medal to Loretto which will be awarded by votes of teachers and pupils to the student most observant of rule. Who shall win it?" Marie Henriette was the queen of Belgium in 1898.
