Title

doll - nun

Description

Doll dressed in habit worn 1952-1967. White pyralin lined the close-fitting brim, extending about two inches from the black veil to just below the ears. At the recommendation by Pope Pius XII in Congress of Religious in Rome, September 1952, Religious were asked to modernize. This new change “enabled nuns to see better, allow voices to carry further, were more economical, more easily managed and more simply styled.”
