Description
Statue of Our Lady and Child. This statue obtained from Europe in 1807, was lovingly called by Father Nerinckx, Loretto’s founder, “my statue” and was kept in his own dwelling at St. Stephen’s Farm until he took it to Little Loretto in 1812. It was restored by Faye Wrubel, Chicago Art Institute, 1980. It was placed in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 1980 church restoration.
