FSLN, or the Sandinista National Liberation Front (Sandinistas), was the left-wing Marxist revolutionary party that took control of Nicaragua in 1979. These pins were brought from Nicaragua by Sr. Alicia Ramirez, SL, who lived in Nicaragua 1976-1977 for the Loretto Third World Experience and returned as a nurse, 1980-1984.
