Description
Masonry trowel, steel body with fabric-wrapped wood handle. "W. Rose" maker's mark. "This laid the Corner Stone of the Chapel of the Sisters of Loretto 3/29/1925" written on back. According to the attached note, the cornerstone of the Chapel of St. Joseph at Loretto Academy in El Paso, TX, was laid by Rt. Rev. Bishop A. Schuller, SJ, and Mother Praxedes Carty, SL, on March 30, 1924.
