Description
Miniature moccasin beaded purse. It came from Pawhuska, OK. The Sisters of Loretto taught at Immaculate Conception Parochial School in Pawhuska from 1919 to 1942. This school was considered missionary work among the Indians, a great love of Fr. Nerinckx.
Artifact display card: purse was "made by Red Woman Reynolds, an Arapahoe Indian, and given to Sister Matthew Gerity [Geraghty], who taught at Immaculate Conception, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, 1939-1942."
