Description
Silver-colored metal corpus on wood crucifix with three-part rounded ends; tall rectangular base. The corpus was Father Nerinckx’s.
Inscription on bottom of base: "This corpus, presented to Loretto in 1923 by Miss Lizzie A Hagan, 1410 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, Ind., 'was on the cross that hung over the altar where Mass was said in the home of the grandfather of Archbishop M.J. Spalding - and was brought over by Father Nerinckx.'"
