Description
Relic of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, labeled "s. Joannis A.F." Mounted on red fabric background in round gold-colored metal reliquary with decorative edges and glass front. Accompanying certificate of authenticity dated March 26, 1966, at Vatican City (see object file). In 1966, Sr. Evangelista was teaching at St. Patrick School in Kankakee, IL.
Accompanying note reads "Sister dear - Here's a relic of your blessed patron - St. John, Evangelist - to be with you on your journey. May he stay close to you and inspire you. / With you, I thank God for the many graces He has sent you. / Mass will be said for your class at Loretto. / With love, Sister L.N. (your Postulant).
