Pair of prints of artwork by Ben Neill (1914-2001), depicting the Ark and Dove ships. A) is labeled "Departure Cowes, Isle of Wight, England"; b) is labeled "Arrival St. Clement's Island, Maryland." The Ark and the Dove brought the first British colonists to Maryland in 1634. The two ships departed from the Isle of Wight on November 22, 1633, and landed at St. Clement's Island in present-day Maryland on March 25, 1634 ("Maryland Day").
