Description
Decorative wooden bowl (a) and stand (b) from Pakistan, two separate pieces. The bowl is carved with a leaf motif in the center and the material to the sides of each leaf cut out. The stand has four feet and is foldable, made with four interlocking pieces. Dimensions are for the bowl and stand together.
According to Cathy Mueller, this piece was given by Bishop Joe Coutts of Faisalabad, Pakistan, in November 2006. This was during the exploration for the first site of the Loretto mission in Pakistan, done by Srs. Mary Catherine Rabbitt and Cathy Mueller from the US and Srs. Nasreen Daniel, Samina Iqbal, Maria Daniel, and one other Sister from Pakistan.
