Description
Wood plaque with metal symbol of the Rockford, IL, diocese on top and a gold plate reading "Sister Ellen Thomas / In Grateful Appreciation / Cathedral of St. Peter Parish." Sr. Ellen Thomas Reynolds, SL (1914-2013), spent her entire religious life teaching in Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, Colorado, Alabama, and Kentucky. She taught grades 2 through college. In 1970 she returned to her home parish, St. Peters, and served there as teacher, principal, and substitute teacher as well caring for a parent until her retirement in 1989. See also #1054.
