Description

Ceramic (likely porcelain) punch bowl, gold-colored rim, hand-painted inside and out in red, purple, and white grapes and vines by Sr. M. Veronica Reischman, SL (1864-1946). Sr. Veronica was an art teacher who taught in Montgomery, AL, from 1914 to 1940. Sr. Martha Belke, SL, who taught at Catholic High School 1962-1998, brought this item to the Archives. It was saved from a set belonging to the Sisters who lived in Montgomery when the convent closed in 1998. Sr. Martha states that it was used for eggnog and punch on special occasions. Stamped on bottom "T&V, Limges France"
